26.

O God of abundant   life:

Through your   providence and promises

you have shown us   the vastness of your grace:

broader than the   sky above us;

enough for   everyone’s need,

enough for ever   scale of need.

In Jesus, you have   shown us

the greatness of   your love:

deeper than the   encircling ocean,

plumbing the   depths

of our anger and anxiety, our passion and pain.

Through the   Spirit, you call us to work with you,

creating truth and   justice, freedom and peace

so that beauty and   plenty are available to all.

At all times and in all places

you keep faith with us.

Help us to share your life.

Help us to make your vision real.

For the peoples of   the world and their leaders…..

Loving God,   receive our prayer

And let your peace   fill the world.

For our own   country and government….

Loving God,   receive our prayer

And let your peace   fill our nation.

For the   communities in which we live and work,

our neighbours,   families and friends….

Loving God,   receive our prayer

And let your peace   fill our neighbourhood.

For those who are   troubled at this time….

Loving God,   receive our prayer

And let your peace   fill their lives.

For ourselves, as   we pray, as we serve, as we love….

Loving God,   receive our prayer

And let your peace   fill our hearts.

O God of abundant   life,

we entrust our   concerns to your keeping

for you see every   wound, understand every need

and give from the   unlimited resources of your love.

That you come to us,

that you have faith in us,

that you keep faith with us,

that you work through us:

We give you thanks and praise.

27.

May the light of   Christ

dawn afresh in   your hearts

each day, like a   rising star.

May the One who   holds all things

draw you into the   light beyond light,

the joy which   transcends all happiness,

the peace which is   not of our understanding.

Let us hear what   God the Lord will speak,

for God will speak   peace to all people:

To those whose hearts are turned toward love,

To those who keep faith with God’s promises.

Let us hear what   God the Lord will speak,

for God will speak   peace to all people:

Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet.

Righteousness and peace will kiss each other.

Let us hear what   God the Lord will speak,

for God will speak   peace to all people:

To those who pay attention to God’s purposes,

that God’s glory may dwell in the land.

Derived from Psalm   85.8-10 2005.

29.

Let us hear what God the Lord will speak:

For he will speak peace to his people…..

O God of life, you   speak a word of grace,

that we might see   the scale of your promises.

Speak to us your word of peace,

that we may know your life in our hearts.

You speak a word   of compassion,

that we might know   your love is enough for all of us, each one.

Speak to us….

You speak a word   of hope,

taking into your   hands our grief and anger,

guilt and shame.

Speak to us….

You speak a word   of mercy,

through which our   hurts are healed, our sins forgiven.

Speak to us…..

You speak a word   of strength,

steadfast in   support of us today,

tomorrow, every   day, forever.

Speak to us…..

Let us hear what God the Lord will speak:

For he will speak peace to his people…..

2005-2006.

30.

God-with-us, you   ask for my attention:

may I offer you my   time.

You ask me to   listen:

may I offer my   obedience.

You ask for my   silence:

may I offer my   trust.

You ask for so   little:

may I offer my   all.

Silence

Faithful God,   encourage me to offer

a persevering   mind, a trusting heart,

a faithful will, a   resilient spirit;

that your grace   might grow in me, always.

Silence

Patient God,

you have kept   faith with me

through sin and   weakness,

danger and   difficulty.

May I keep faith   with you,

through pain and   sorrow,

struggle and   rejoicing,

to my journey’s   end.

Silence

Joyful God,   rejoicing in your love for me,

I give you thanks   and praise.

Rejoicing at your   faith in me,

I give you thanks   and praise.

Rejoicing in your   hope for me,

I give you thanks   and praise.
