31.

O God of grace,   you see us as we are,

you know the best   and the worst of us.

Knowing us, you   love us.

Knowing us, you   reach out to us.

Knowing us, you   receive us.

Knowing us, you   welcome us.

Knowing us, you   embrace us.

Knowing us, you   invite us to receive.

You know our needs   before we ask,

but as we ask, you   release your life

and we who are   weak and wilful, fallible and frail,

find ourselves   bathed in your blessing.

2005.

Living God,   Sovereign of Creation,

holding all power   and potential in your grasp:

you know all that   we are;

yet you look upon   us only with love.

You look upon me only with love.

Living Saviour   Jesus,

giving your life   to free us

from the forces   which overwhelm us,

you know our story   from the inside out;

yet you look upon   us only with love.

You look upon me only with love.

Living Spirit,   breath of our bodies

and dream in our   hearts:

you know the heights of our longing

and the depths to   which we fall;

yet you look upon   us only with love.

You look upon me only with love.

Living God,   Sovereign, Saviour, Spirit:

you call us to a   time

when compassion,   justice, mercy and peace

will rule the   earth.

You know our   failings as your people;

yet you look upon   us only with love.

You look upon me only with love.

2003-2009.

33.

O God of grace,   you love me.

Knowing me through   and through,

you love me.

Knowing me better   than I know myself,

you love me.

Knowing my story   from the inside out,

you love me.

Knowing the depths   of my heart,

you love me.

Knowing all my   thoughts and intentions, words and deeds,

you love me.

Even knowing all   that you can never condone or approve,

you love me.

For this is the   marvel and the mystery:

that you look upon   me only with love.

You look upon me   only with love.

2005.

34.

Glory to God who   has given us life.

Glory to God who   calls us to praise.

Glory to God who   gives us each other.

Glory to God   forever!

1998.

35.

O living God,

you are our   Saviour and Deliverer:

seeing us as we   are and as we might be,

you know the   limits which constrain us,

the forces which   drag us down.

Your love holds us   in our weakness;

your life heals,   renews and inspires us;

your hope lifts us   up;

your faith gives   us courage to test the boundaries,

your peace gives   us strength to go on.

May we hear the   word you speak

to our deepest   need

and receive the   fullness you would give

that we might be   fruitful,

this day, every   day.

1998.
